Kate Wilson | biography

Kate Wilson has exhibited nationally and internationally and is a past recipient of the Canada Council Paris Studio. Recent group and one-person exhibitions include Beyond / In Western New York 2007 at the University at Buffalo, Center for the Arts, Buffalo, NY. USA, Real Estate Flowers at the Kelowna Art Gallery, Kelowna B.C. and Microbial Baroque at St. Mary's University Art Gallery, Halifax, N.S. Upcoming solo exhibitions include a wall drawing installation at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Victoria, B.C. Current projects include a short film Cold Drive: Dangerous Substances with the support of the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT). Wilson will participate in a residency at SAGAMIE, Le Centre national de recherche et diffusion en arts contemporains numériques, The National Research and Exhibition Centre for Contemporary Digital Art, Alma, Québec in 2008.
